During my Masters I created a concept for a 3D Platformer game. A key part of my Masters was that I wanted to understand where my key strengths lay. Was it character design? Environment design? 3D? or Concept art?
I decided to focus on a number of smaller projects, to see which area I found myself enjoying more. At the end of my Masters I ended up believing that I'm a concept artist as I love trying to explore narrative within my works, whether it be character or environment. This project was a plan to see if I could create concepts with form and shape that would belong in the environments I create, to have a purpose in the world and reflect onto the characters. It was enjoyable creating these designs, I just wish I continued and explored into perhaps more complex props and architecture.
